Caring for your new tattoo

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR TATTOO PROCEDURE

Approximate Heal Time: 2-4 weeks

Supplies needed: Antibacterial soap(unscented), antibiotic ointment (Aquaphor), unscented lotion.

Instructions: Apply a thin coat of antibiotic ointment to the area 2-4 times a day for at-least 3 days. After 3 days you can apply unscented lotion to keep "flaking" to a minimal. IF your tattoo was Bandaged at the facility keep bandaged for approximately 2 hours, Then carefully remove bandage and wash entire area with antibacterial soap and cool water, re-apply a thin coat of antibiotic ointment.

Additional considerations: Avoid sunburn,salt or chlorine water,or hot tubs until you tattoo is completely healed. In the event that mild scabbing occurs, do not attempt to pick at or attempt to "wash off" the scab. Allow it to do so by itself. Do Not use Neosporin ointment to try and heel your tattoo it can cause damage to your tattoo.

You should seek medical attention if the tattoo site becomes infected or severely painful, or of you develop a fever shortly after being tattooed.
